The renovation of this Parisian apartment is based on a careful optimization of the existing floor plan. The project reinterprets the spatial qualities of the original layout while adapting them to the needs of contemporary living, preserving the character and identity of the apartment.
Original elements and historic details were carefully examined, retained, and thoughtfully reused. They engage in a deliberate dialogue with new, restrained interventions, creating a balance between heritage and modernity. Intelligent use of daylight plays a central role in the project : through strategic openings, visual connections, and reflective surfaces, natural light is drawn deep into the interior of the flat, allowing it to be filled with daylight.
The result is a living space that reflects the history of the place while offering the comfort, openness, and flexibility expected of modern urban living.
